Team Octopus has some of the most challenging Kickboxing classes in Atlanta! Each class is designed to elevate your heart rate and maintain elevation for a cardio-intensive, full-body workout.
Kickboxing is a modern martial art and combat sport that includes kicks and punches with core-strengthening exercises that help tone and lean your body. This class is ideal for those who want the workout without the contact of sparring. You’ll begin with a light warm up to increase the blood flow to your muscles and prepare your body to perform moderate to high-intensity movements. The warm-up is followed by a series of interval striking combinations and calisthenics, and the class concludes with an abdominal burnout and cool down.
Our Kickboxing classes are designed to make you burn 700 to 900 calories within the hour. Each participant works with his or her own 120 pound hanging bag, which provides resistance to tone your arms, abs, and legs. Your arms are toned by consistently throwing punches. Your legs are toned by landing kicks and knees. And, your abs are constantly engaged by the twisting motion needed to execute the combinations!
